Why a Star Trek Trivia?
The Twin Cities metro is filled with Star Trek fans looking for new opportunities to engage in their passion with other fans! Star Trek themed events and clubs are no stranger to the Twin Cities; Minneapolis famously hosted the nation’s second largest Star Trek Convention in 1997, and the third largest in 2007. HUGE! Improv Theater recently featured a hugely successful star Trek improv show, Star Trek: The Next Improvisation, there are over 200 fans interested in Star Trek in the metro area currently on MeetUp,com, there are two major Star Trek fan clubs in Minneapolis and St. Paul, the U.S.S. Behr’ak and the U.S.S. Nakomis, The Kingon Electronic Dictionary was born in Dinkytown and the poplar Holiday spoof “A Klingon Christmas Carol” started right here in Minneapolis.
What should I do to compete?
Groups of 4-6 are encouraged, but If you come alone, you can always join a group there! All are welcome!
Driftwood is where again?
44th & Nicollet in South Minneapolis. There's ample FREE street parking, nightly drink specials and amazing food (try the ribs, and the Juicy Lucy, and the fries...oh god, the fries! Yum!)
Why should I do this?
Because the only thing better than being a Star Trek fan (Trekkie or Trekker, your choice) is socializing with other Star Trek fans! Plus prizes for the winners will be awarded each night! And you get to wear your uniform/makeup! And see others in their uniforms/makeup! And it’s Star Trek!!!!
